James Maslow. James Maslow (born July 16, 1990) is an American actor. He appeared as Shane in the iCarly episode "iSaw Him First". He is now starring in the upcoming Nickelodeon series, Big Time Rush, playing the self-titled character, James. Even though Maslow was born in New York, he mostly grew up in La Jolla, California. one of the shows handsome and talented young stars. Big Time Rush follows the adventures of a fledgling boy band formed after a national American Idol-esque talent search, and Maslow plays James Diamond opposite Kendal.
